The studabaker is one of the first style castrators i designed nearly 30 yrs ago. It has longer, 3.25 inch blade for the bigger calves, but a smaller "palm filler" handle of only 2 inches, for a toltal length of just over 7 inches.  This knife was designed for the ground crew that always holds the knife in thier mouth to keep the blade free and out of the mud while doing surgery.... The steel is time tested 440-C and has dyed Korillian Birch handles.
